Thanks to everyone who left a comment on my card for the OWH birthday bash that the E-Team celebrated this past weekend!! I sincerely hope that along the way, you found inspiration to contribute to OWH.  Making cards to send to OWH is just a little something that we, as papercrafters, can do to say thanks to all the men and women who have sacrificed so much for us!!

On a personal note, I thought I would let you know the results of the Kiddo's 8th grade class elections.  Major bummer.  He didn't win.  But he had a very good attitude about it.  There were 4 boys nominated and two did absolutely nothing to campaign.  His other buddy put up a couple of posters, but did not push the campaign part.  BUT! This buddy ROCKED the speech.  He gave the history of the Pledge of Allegiance.  Which, as Sergeant of Arms, you lead out in.  The Kiddo said he KNEW his little speech was nothing in comparison.  So he learned a lesson that sometimes it is the last impression on the voters that counts more than the effort before.
I'm very proud of him for putting himself out there and trying.  It's a scary thing to do.  He took a risk and handled the loss with grace.  He even had his buddy, who he lost too, come over and spend the afternoon with him.

What a Kid!!

Thanks for dropping by again today!!  Lesson learned from the Kiddo:  Take a risk.  It beats wondering "What if?........."  Till next time~~~

I'm sorry your son didn't win, however, what wonderful lessons he has learned! It looks like he already has the "Take a Risk" attitude. That is how we get what we want out of life! He will do well. I predict much success for him in the future!

Darn! But it sounds like he had a great attitude and learned a lot from the whole experience. So proud of him for doing that! There's always next year! Guess I haven't visited your blog in a while and I completely missed your giveaway!! :-( The in-laws have been here and we've been having fun :-) Thanks for the update :-)
