Just a Mess...............

edited to add:  I am a total dork.  Seriously, I never looked at my post after I wrote it up and never realized that I forgot to post the picture!!  A couple of comments finally clued me in to the fact!! DOI!
Sooo, here is the long awaited picture! LOL
..................that is all that is on my desk for WOYWW87.  I still haven't cleaned up the mess from last week as I was finishing up my my frame up until the time I needed to pack for CHA.  In the meantime, youngest kiddo has done the beginning research for a paper on California history and there is my googled map directions to the LA convention center.

Gloves would be from being thrown on the desk after this morning's walk with the dog.  The invitation is for a newly married couple's open house that I need to RSVP too.

No fun projects in the works.  Sigh.

Can someone explain to me how it is that I did all the laundry before leaving on Friday and upon my return on Sunday, there is MOUNDS of the stuff?  Not to mention the disaster area aka the kitchen (ok.  I will take some responsibility for SOME of that mess.  I actually made homemade roasted tomato soup on Monday for dinner. Then I got hit with the "I need help with my homework" wall.  Still need to finish cleaning up that mess)

So, I'm off to get some cleaning done.  And to do some visiting of other desks.  I like snooping into spaces and see what others have in the works, not to mention, I like looking at the work spaces!

Till then....................

The whole point of this madness is to show your mess! Chicken! I definitely know about the laundy mound! Either we are the messiest people or the cleanest....I still don't know which it is.....just a huge lot of laundry for two people!

Ah, what's a mommy for! I'll bet they missed you. I went to CHA for a 24 hour commando tour. Coocoo. And mess on the desk? It must be all in the kitchen and laundry room.

Starla, If you were as cold as I was the other night, your kitchens would be clean. I could not sleep so I got up and washed the dishes in the sink by hand just so I could get warm! My work space is just a little messy but I am still not posting a picture! You girls are definitely brave!

I'm in agreement with other commentors ... if that desk is a mess ... I'm in trouble. :)

That desk doesn't look too bad at all, and I with you on the laundry... I think I am all caught up and the ironing is done and put away and someone goes and throws a heap into the laundry basket... and it all starts again! Much prefer to be scrapping!! Annette #4

Compared to me, your desk is ultra -tidy, lol. Mine usually looks like an explosion in a craft factory! TFS, Shaz #108

The laundry works in the same way as clearing out the old stuff from your wardrobe. You throw out two sacks full of rubbishy clothes and feel good. Two months later, you have not been shopping but you tidy the wardrobe again and there are another two sacks of rubbishy clothes. The wardrobe never looks any emptier and you can repeat this process again and again with the same result. Old clothes and washing all breed when you are not looking.

Thanks for looking at my blog and leaving a lovely comment. Now it is your time to go to your desk and be creative. Good luck.

you must be busy if you forgot to post a picture

When I become overwhelmed with laundry or anything like that, I always think back to how my great grandmother must've had to wash clothes or clean and feel instantly grateful. Try it! But really, your desk is not that bad!

I got here at just the right time to see the desk pic...I think your desk looks like a working spot. Not happy about the laundry issue either. I think when the lights go out it procreates! Not a good visual is it! Thanks for sharing.

No matter what, laundry will always be there, lurking, waiting, growing. My teenager always says he has no clean clothes, how can that be, I do laundry non-stop. The invite on your desk is very pretty. I NEED to get some glimmer mist! TFS

There's always a price to pay for being away - for me it seems to be laundry and kitchen too - funny that! I see even you Ipd has a skull theme going on.

Love all the skulls! Not something you see much of on a craft desk! Hope the time away was worth the mess to come home to!!

Ok, if you're desk is messy than mine should just be condemned ;) LOL It looks great! I hear you on the laundry...I've got 3 kids and I swear the launry has been never ending since the minute my first was born. I've asked them on occasion if they could just walk around naked because it would make things much easier on me, ROFL.
