ME!
Due to unforeseen circumstances of having to travel out of state this past weekend to attend a family funeral and the massive invasion of ants that are trying to claim my kitchen as their new home, I was not able to complete my project! I did start playing with a couple of techniques that I can't wait to share with you, but it will have to be at a later date. Bare with me folks. As usual, life is moving at warp speed and I'm just hanging on by a thread! LOL!
I am so disappointed that I wasn't able to participate today as I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Claudine's acrylic paints! If you have followed my blog for a while, you know that I do some back drop painting, as well as murals and such, from time to time. This means that I use acrylic paints quite often. To keep costs down, and because I often am painting on cardboard, I usually use the small tubes of paint that can be found in your local craft store. These work just fine generally for these purposes.
BUT! For my personal art projects I will be using Claudine's paints from now on! These paints are wonderfully creamy and smooth. There is no need to shake and mix the paint. And the coverage is great, with a rich pigmented color. Believe me, these paints are what you want for your projects!
Ok.....I am going back to battle the ants (again..........I think I'm actually just feeding the little buggers. They are having a feeding frenzy around the nice "snacks" that I've laid out for them!! ewwwww. HATE ants!!)
Thanks for dropping by! I hope to be back this weekend with my painting projects!
Till then...................

Nothing like a few critters marching through your kitchen to get your undivided attention! Go get em girl!
I hope you can participate next time. I love looking at your great projects! An ant problem sure isn't fun.
Ants are the worst to get rid of! Best of Luck - remember show no fear YOU are the boss (LOL).

sorry about the funeral.
ugh. ants... we get the invasion every spring and i go on a homicidal spree, is that the right term for killing ants? thank goodness i'm not a Buddist cuz my karma would be in jepardy.
Yikes! Ants! Sorry to have missed your project, but getting rid of the ants surely comes first! Good luck!
My sympathies to you and be safe during your travels. On the ant patrol front, tell those pesky critters to picnic in the woods. Seriously, I hope you get rid of those ants soon, they can be such a problem. Linda
I'm sorry for your loss, and hope the ants leave soon, I hate them too. Can't wait to see the project that you do. I'm sure it's going to be great.
Starla, We are so dry here that my back yard is one giant ant bed underneath the grass and trees. I sit down on my porch and the pests are immediately climbing on my feet. I share your dislike for them! I do not have them in the house, I would hate that! good luck getting them to leave. I fear it will not be a good winter! Have a great day!
My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss Starla look forward to seeing your project on the weekend. Good luck with the "ants"

Sorry for your loss and I sure hope you get rid of the ants! They are such a nuisance! We haven't gotten them yet this year but did last year. Ooooh, I hate them. Had a peek around your blog. Great stuff here! Love the card with the doves.
So sorry for all that you are dealing with!! I look forward to seeing your projects!! I love your quote "life is moving at warp speed and I'm just hanging on by a thread!"--I can totally relate!! :)
Hang in there!!!
Hope you conquer those ants.
Oh, so sorry to hear you've lost a loved one. Well be thinking of you.
Look forward to seeing more of your lovely work.
Sorry to hear of the funeral....always a bummer. And so are the danged ants, where the heck do they come from! Love that beautiful carved stamp in the post below, an incredible piece!
Can't wait to try out these pretty paints! Hope you get things back in order again soon, and the ants pack up and leave!

Hope you win your war against the ants and thanks for the review of the paint.
Will check back later for your project. Good Luck with getting rid of the ants!!
Boy o' boy do I know what you mean, life really can get away from us sometimes and there never seems to be enough time in the day to get done all that I want to get done. Yes, we missed seeing some of your artwork for this Blog Hop but we are happy to wait for your next masterpiece. Hopefully life will slow down a bit for you and give you some "me time" to play with your paints and supplies. Hang in there. Sorry you had to attend a funeral for someone you cared about.
Ants- Ugh, they are also staying at my house this year. Thankfully they are the little tiny "sugar" ant. Somehow they seem "cuter" than the big gross ants.
Good luck with that battle and of course, my sympathy for the loss of your family member.
My sympathy to you and your family in the loss of a loved one. It is always difficult, but hopefully there are beautiful memories.
Good luck in your battle of the ants.
we generally have the 'ant' problem in the Spring.... only the type of ant get are the teeny tiny ones that generally come where there is lots of moisture... and since we've had nothing but moisture.... .
Hope you didn't stress too much, girl....
My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I hate when the ants are winning. I am sure you will get control soon.
Sorry you've been unable to participate but that happens. Hey, try sprinkling some cinnamon in front of the area where they enter. There are several 'green' methods that do work. Good luck!
